Episode 3 - Long day
Thursday, March 5, 2009 6:58 PM

Third day in Wuhan and it was getting a little warmer and I mean a little. We have a IS class today, so I woke up at 7.30 am but due to some tiredness I slept until 7.50 am. Later we walk to the classroom but when we got there nobody are to be found. Meaning the lecturer misunderstood the time that was supposed to start at 9 am but she didn’t come. So, they postpone it to 1 pm. That mean we had time to go walking around the area near the campus. We decided to take some picture at the main building of WUST.
When we pass a shopping complex, I saw this people doing some free check-up. This is so strange that they do it outside the shopping complex but in Malaysia and Singapore they normally do it in the building. They are also not afraid of the cold by staying outside the building.

We ate lunch in the same Mac-Donald as yesterday but we saw this two toddler with their cheek red in colour. Later we have our lunch, Mei Yi saw a guy selling this type of berry. It was sold 8 yuan per basket which is about 1 kg. It was very delicious because it was sour and not so sweet and I like that kind of taste.

At 1 pm we attend our class. We learn a lot of stuff when the lecturer teaches us about the background of Hubei. I learn that there are 60.161 million people in Hubei, which was very surprising. Oh, the other Chinese people in China call the Hubei people as Nine-headed bird. Some history includes Mulan where she was born in Hubei and the Battle of Red Cliffs where it happen in the three kingdoms period. Even if it was boring there are a lot of jokes being share around.

Dinner time, some local student took us to a shopping complex to have our dinner. They food is very goooooooood and I finally ate some ‘chou toufu’. It was not the really original one but it was okay because at least I know how it was taste like. The other food I ate there are ‘Re Gan Mian’ a 'Dao Pi'

After dinner we go up to the indoor amusement park to play. It was really disappointing because they close their business at 9 pm but at least we had fun. Later that night, we took picture with the local student. It was fun taking picture with them. Then later that night my roommate told me that I had a little bit of the ‘China Slang’ when talking mandarin

Yesterday I'm not happy and today I was happy. I learn some chinese culture and history. I also got to try the fermented toufu or 'Chou Toufu'
